How it works

A plan that starts with you

We begin by listening. Your evaluation may include targeted laboratory testing and body composition assessment, followed by a clear plan tailored to your needs. Follow-up helps us understand what is working and adjust your care as your health and goals evolve.

Whether you’re managing an ongoing medical condition, seeking support with weight or energy, or taking a more intentional approach to aging, Dr. Burman is available to help guide your care.

Questions

Before your first visit.

Do I need fasting labs before my first visit?
You do not need to arrange new testing unless our team advises you to do so. Bring any recent laboratory results and relevant cardiac testing or imaging reports. We will determine which additional assessments may be useful and provide preparation instructions.
Will I have to start medication?
Not necessarily. Recommendations depend on your individual risk, findings and goals. Your plan may include nutrition, exercise, recovery strategies and medication when appropriate. We will explain the options and make decisions together.
Can you coordinate with my cardiologist or primary care physician?
Yes. With your permission, we can share relevant findings and coordinate recommendations with your existing clinicians. When additional expertise is needed, we can help arrange referrals for cardiology evaluation or specialized testing.
Is this care covered by insurance?
Coverage depends on your plan and the services recommended. Some consultations and medically indicated tests may be covered, while advanced testing or health optimization services may require direct payment. Our team will help clarify payment arrangements before you proceed. Coverage for testing performed by outside laboratories or specialists should also be confirmed with those providers.
Can SALUS be my primary care physician?
[Answer — to confirm.]
