Measure how you move, then train for more.

Physician-led movement and strength assessment for athletes and active adults who want to perform better, prevent injury or return to sport with objective benchmarks.

WHAT WE FOCUS ON

Why people come to us for performance care.

You do not need to be injured. Many patients come to understand their baseline and train more deliberately.

  • Return to sport

Objective testing before full activity after injury or surgery.

  • Injury prevention

Identifying asymmetries and load problems before they become injuries.

  • Plateaued training

A medical look at why progress has stalled.

  • Endurance athletes

Running, cycling and paddling mechanics and load.

  • Strength & power

    Testing to guide strength development.

  • Active aging

Keeping strength, balance and mobility as the years add up.

Dr. Melissa Burman during her racing career as Melissa Buhl
PHYSICIAN-ATHLETE

Performance care from a former world champion.

Before medicine, Dr. Melissa Burman raced as Melissa Buhl, spending a decade at the top of gravity mountain biking with national titles and a world championship.

She knows training load, recovery between rounds and coming back from injury as an athlete, after a torn ACL and chronic low-back pain. Today she brings that experience together with internal medicine and sports medicine training.

  • World champion, gravity mountain biking
  • Multiple national titles
  • Internal medicine and sports medicine physician
HOW CARE WORKS

Assess, train, re-test.

01
Assess

A baseline you can measure

We combine a medical history with movement, strength and mobility testing to find what is limiting you.

  • Physician-led evaluation
  • Strength and symmetry testing
  • Movement and mobility screen
02
Plan

Training targeted to the findings

You leave with a plan built around your sport, schedule and goals, coordinated with any coach or trainer you already work with.

  • Individual training priorities
  • Load and recovery guidance
  • Coordination with your coach
03
Re-test

Progress you can see

We re-test at set intervals so changes are measured, and adjust the plan as you improve.

  • Scheduled re-testing
  • Comparison to your baseline
  • Updated plan each cycle
